Every card had its own glass fill, border and inner shadow. Now there’s one surface colour, one card tone, no strokes, and two radii (34 outer / 22 inner).
The gold pill, logo lockup, big timer and refresh button became one line of text with a 3pt progress bar. Gold is the only accent in the whole widget.
News lost its card and its large thumbnails. With 44pt images and a hairline divider it reads as text, the way headlines should.
Four heavy squircles became one tray of glyphs with labels. The weather is just “23°”, with no icon competing.
Three sizes (22 / 14–15 / 11), two weights and three opacities of one white replace the mix of greys, caps and bold text.
